Fell & Haut Leckerlis für Hunde – mit Biotin & Zink

Biotin supports normal skin and coat metabolism and thus helps to maintain normal skin and coat condition. As a water-soluble vitamin, it is not stored by the body and must therefore be obtained regularly through the diet – particularly during periods of increased requirement, such as when the coat is changing. This is why biotin is a popular ingredient in dietary supplements for skin and coat health.

Dry or flaky skin, a dull coat or changes in coat quality may indicate an inadequate supply of nutrients, but they can also have many other possible causes. A specific nutrient deficiency cannot be diagnosed on the basis of these signs alone. It is therefore always important to consult a vet.

Biotin and zinc both support normal skin and coat metabolism, but they act at different levels: biotin is involved in the formation of keratin, the key structural protein of skin and coat, whilst zinc plays a part in numerous enzymatic processes involved in cell division and skin renewal.

Yes. Especially during the shedding season, a tailored supply of nutrients for the skin and coat can be beneficial. The Coat & Skin Treats can easily be incorporated into your pet’s daily feeding routine during this time.

Skin and coat do not change overnight. The timing of visible changes varies from dog to dog and depends, amongst other things, on the dog’s coat cycle, diet and initial condition. Skin renewal also takes several weeks before newly formed skin cells reach the upper layers of the skin. It is therefore advisable to feed the dog the same food regularly over a period of several weeks to months.

Yes. The Skin & Coat Treats are designed as a regular daily supplement and can be given on a long-term basis in accordance with the recommended feeding amount.

When fed in accordance with the recommended daily amount, no specific side effects are to be expected. However, as with any pet food, individual dogs may be sensitive to certain ingredients. In the event of known intolerances, existing health issues or any concerns, it is advisable to consult your vet beforehand.

In principle, different supplementary feeds can be combined. However, if several products contain the same vitamins, minerals or trace elements, the total intake should be taken into account to avoid unnecessary duplication.
